Observational drawing in the garden. Paper sketches with pencil, pen, pasteland ink.
Arranging peelings and cuttings on various surfaces for still life photography later developed into digital iron-on fabric prints.
Fabric dye washes and dip dying experiments with colour from onion skins, red cabbage, coffee and turmeric.
Students printed onto dyed fabric with CD's and wooden tiles scratching detail into surface with rulers and sticks.
Scaling up original garden drawings using OHP and tracing onto fabric. Designs cut out and coloured at a later stage.
Students mosaic over large scale drawings with dyed fabric scraps. Strips of fabric are also wrapped round wire to form shapes.
